Jacques Aumont
He has taught in the cine-film study field and image aesthetics at Universities since 1970 : Training and Research Units in Fine and Applied Arts (1970-76) at Paris-1, Teaching Units in cinematography (1970-2008) at Paris-3, and Training and Research Units in language and expression Sciences 1976-83 at Lyon-2.
He has also lectured at Berkeley, Madison, Iowa City, Nijmegen, and in Lisbon. He is currently professor at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University (Paris-3), academic dean at the EHESS ( post-graduate faculty for Social Sciences ) and professor at the Ecole nationale supérieure for Fine Arts in Paris.
